The Appian First Year Forward program is designed to engage with underclassmen to provide support, mentorship, and most importantly, to grow an affinity with students who may consider Appian in the future.
About the Program:
The Appian First Year Forward program is an opportunity dedicated to giving you insight into the daily life at Appian and the chance to collaborate with Engineers -- and the experience does not end there;our Engineers want to help you throughout your college career! As a part of this highly-selective program, you will be paired with Appian developers who will serve as a professional mentor to guide you through your collegiate journey. You will also be invited to a half-day experiential visit at the Appian Headquarters in Reston, VA.
What will the visit entail? You will receive a full tour of Appian and all of its departments. After the tour, a presentation will be delivered by the VP of Engineering along with an open discussion by one of the Founders of the company. After the presentation, we will reveal your mentors and take you on a interactive rotation of the various teams in our Engineering department.

How to apply:
Please submit your resume along with a cover letter. Your cover letter should address these three questions: What are you most passionate about, and how do your passions relate to your selected major? What is your proudest accomplishment to date?, What do you want to be when you grow up (have fun with this last one!).
After submitting your resume and cover letter, you will be notified if you are selected for the program by November 14, 2018. If you are not selected this year, you will still remain in candidacy for future opportunities at Appian.
