Senior Director, Demand Generation (EMEA)

Working within Appian’s Global Marketing team and reporting to the Vice President of Global Field and Partner Marketing, the Demand Generation Sr. Director will drive and manage strategy designed to grow and accelerate sales pipeline and revenue. The role is responsible for Europe and the Middle East. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced marketer who is interested in working in a collaborative team environment at a fast-growing company. About the Role:

  • Help to develop and oversee execution of regional marketing plans, working in close alignment with the Global Marketing Team, as well as EMEA Sales Management, Account Executives and Business Development Teams
  • Understand and communicate marketing strategy, value proposition, positioning and messaging to regional Sales Executives so that they are aware, knowledgeable and enabled with the latest and most powerful content for effective use in sales cycles
  • Support corporate digital advertising campaigns, including paid search, social, display, email and video campaigns to drive a large percentage of the region’s inbound lead flow
  • In conjunction with the Global ABM team, oversee execution of account-based marketing activities to align with account specific plans and enable lead generation activities for the region
  • Regularly manage and review campaign performance metrics with key stakeholders, including leads and ROI by campaign, channel, and source
  • Conduct research and develop feasibility studies to identify new program opportunities for Appian
  • Determine fiscal requirements and prepare budget for lead generation programs
  • Foster Sales and Marketing alignment through regular program reporting and quarterly business reviews
  • Ability to travel up to 20% (once corporate travel is permissible)

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 10+ years Demand Generation experience within an Enterprise Software environment
  • Seasoned team manager with a distributed team across EMEA and Middle East
  • Experienced in crafting results-driven marketing campaigns and programs
  • Confident with digital media performance KPIs and optimizations
  • Proven success in working collaboratively with Sales and a Global Marketing Team
  • Critical thinking, problem solving skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced in managing vendor relationships
  • Experienced in using CRM and Marketing Automation systems/tools
