The Data Entry / Order Processing Analyst will own the top of funnel processing and entry for our customer contracts. This involves reviewing and entering sales orders and ensuring contracts are accurately recorded in the accounting system and set up for billing and revenue recognition. This person will also assist the Revenue Manager with various month-end accounting and reporting responsibilities.

This role will be at Appian HQ, which is located in McLean, VA. Expectation is to be in the office on a hybrid schedule. 

 

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • The ability to read and interpret incoming customer contracts to ensure that they are entered in the NetSuite accounting system in an accurate and timely manner.

  • The ability to maintain spreadsheets used for reconciling services revenue each month.

  • To work well with others, regularly assisting the manager with timesheet follow-up to prepare for billing and revenue recognition deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills to correspond with customers on issues related to purchase orders and invoices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of general accounting, finance or contract administration experience

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or a related field
