About the role:

Appian is seeking a Senior Partner Solutions Technical Lead for our rapidly growing business. As a member of the Global Solutions Team, you will successfully collaborate with different Appian partners around the world to:

  • Evaluate partner-developed solution from a technical and architectural perspective

  • Share build, integration and implementation best practices with partners around Appian-developed or partner-developed solutions

  • Provide technical guidance to partners about how to enhance/augment Appian solutions without jeopardizing the upgrade path

  • Work with customers to help them adopt solutions

  • Become the solutions team technical expert to address various technical or platform issues and questions that might have a bearing on solutions


What you’ll be doing:

  • Engage with partners to discuss the technical aspects of architecting, building, enhancing and integrating solutions across all verticals and geographies

  • Coaching partners and members of the solutions team on technical issues relevant for solutions

  • Be the technical thought leader within the solutions team at Appian

  • Work closely with partners to drive customer adoption of solutions


Required Skills & Desired Background:

  • B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or related field/degree

  • 3+ years of Appian build, interaction and implementation experience.  Architect experience is a plus

  • Deep Appian knowledge and understanding - Technical depth to respond to all technical elements of solutions build, integration, or architecture

  • Sufficient expertise to lead conversations and engage at senior levels within Appian or our partner ecosystem

  • Good communications, presentation and listening skills with a history of success working cross-functionally

  • Passion for technology and continuous learning, and affinity for asking “why” and solving the right problems

  • Able to build rapport and build/grow and maintain relationships with people of very different backgrounds

  • Experience with systems integrators, and other types of partners (VAR, reseller, consulting firms, etc.) preferred

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Able to take initiative

  • Able to motivate and influence others

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time 

  • Intellectually curious / eager to learn

  • Outcomes-focused

  • Organized and structured but also able to think creatively

  • International experience or background are a plus

  • Preference for candidates in the Washington D.C. area
