At Appian, our marketers have the opportunity to tell stories of impact and innovation across a multitude of industries. Being a marketer at Appian means working with cool tech. It means coming up with creative ways to stand above the noise, then making it happen. It means working with amazing customer brands at the forefront of digital. Software that has a real impact on companies and consumers? At Appian, it’s more than an empty promise. It’s what we do.

Working within Appian’s Marketing team, the Marketing Manager will own strategy and end-to-end execution for enterprise marketing campaigns including integrated digital programs, customer marketing, and communications as well as selected tradeshows and Appian-branded events as relevant within the customer journey. Working with the Director, Demand Generation (APJ) and the global marketing
team and collaborating with the sales and partner teams, the Marketing Manager will help to curate and manage localised content and creative messaging and to orchestrate effective campaigns to drive strong pipeline outcomes.

The role will include all campaign set-up, budget management, execution, post-program lead management and ROI reporting for these aligned marketing programs. This role will act as an orchestrator of marketing activity and pipeline across the sales and partner and alliances functions including external partners where appropriate.

To be successful in this role, you need:

  • To plan and execute integrated customer journeys with a focus on key accounts to support new pipeline development and progression. Programs may include but are not limited to: 3rd party digital, social and paid media, Appian-branded events, tradeshows, conferences, joint partner marketing and targeted account-based marketing. This includes preparing and tracking program budgets from pre-approval, contracting, invoicing, and reconciliation to ensure effective use of marketing investment funds

  • To collaborate with the Appian global marketing team, the communications agency, and the sales organisation, to help curate and localise Appian messaging and content for the Enterprise audience. This may include leveraging and developing creative assets, collateral, webinars, event speaking sessions, press releases and editorials as well as customer case study content to help build the Appian brand and message in the local market, and to ensure that global campaigns, website, and content are relevant for the APJ market

  • To ensure lead and pipeline outcomes are met and there is strong engagement and communication with the business development team, field sales team and partner organisation. This will involve collaborating with local sales, SDR, and partner teams to ensure ROI investment goals are met, and includes regular reporting leveraging Salesforce

  • To work with the Director of Demand Generation (APJ), providing strategic input into the annual and quarterly planning process including budgeting and design of programs. This will involve gathering feedback from key stakeholders and the sales and partner organisations, researching best practices, and working with a diverse range of suppliers

  • To create content and leverage various digital platforms such as Folloze, working with global campaign and creative team members to produce APJ-specific assets
