Office Administrative Assistant

Appian is looking for a dynamic individual to support our senior management team at our Sydney location. The Office Administrative Assistant role will provide administrative support to the APAC business. 

The ideal candidate will be a detail oriented self-starter with strong communication and interpersonal skills. You must be able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. This role is a part of our Sydney office organization and reports directly to the Regional VP for APAC. As an intermediary between Appian employees and clients, you will collaborate with teams throughout the organization. This is an exciting time to join our company with the ability to grow and further develop your skills.

  • Ability to operate independently and assist with all aspects of office management

  • Desire for a client facing environment

 
Responsibilities:

  • Answer and manage incoming calls into the office
  • Greet and direct all visitors, including prospects/customers and job candidates providing utmost level of hospitality
  • Monitor and maintain meeting rooms ensuring cleanliness before/after meetings have taken place
  • General assistance with travel when required- Hotel bookings, restaurant bookings, securing corporate hotel rates, flight reservations
  • Expense management
  • Assist with supply ordering for kitchen and office
  • Arranging post/couriers
  • Support Marketing where required with event management / registration desk management
  • Telephone follow up work for pre/post events when required to support telesales activity
  • Contribute to team goals and objectives
  • Contribute creative ideas for change and improvement
  • Handle special administrative projects as assigned

 
Qualifications:

  • 0-3+ years of professional experience 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have strong organization skills and be very detail oriented
  • Secretarial qualifications preferred – Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills a necessity
