Are you a dynamic Talent Management professional who enjoys implementing a strategic talent roadmap? Are you seeking a high impact role that will allow you to evaluate, design, implement, and measure the effectiveness of talent processes, programs, and tools?

As a Talent Management Consultant at Appian, you will help define the learning culture of our rapidly growing technology company. Working under the guidance of Appian’s Talent Management Lead and VP of Talent Management, you will support a variety of strategic talent initiatives.

About the role:

  • Develop strong relationships with Appian executives to better understand their departmental talent landscape, opportunities for improvement, and are responsive to their business needs.
  • Assist with the implementation of our corporate-wide Learning Management System.
  • Conduct departmental needs analyses, using the results and industry best practices to design and implement engaging, high-impact learning programs at all levels.
  • Help create and implement talent management programs using multiple instructional design options and learning methodologies (e.g., classroom, online, blended, distance learning methods) leading to creative and innovative solutions.
  • Assist with the development of competency models, learning paths, etc.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners (HRBP) and Talent Development team to ensure smooth implementation of new processes and programs; include feedback and performance data into continuous improvement and future program design efforts.

About you:

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, or Communications and 3+ years of Human Capital Consulting, Talent Management, or HR experience. Brownie points for an MBA or advanced degree in HR, Organizational Psychology or Organizational Development.
  • You’re skilled in planning, identifying, coordinating and tracking critical activities, milestones and deliverables with your impressive organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • You’re an innovative and proactive problem-solver with strong interpersonal communication skills and have the ability to exercise integrity and sound judgment in complex and ambiguous situations.
  • You’re a stickler for efficiency and have a track record of utilizing continuous process improvement methodologies as a best practice.
  • Communication is a strength – you can present ideas effectively, represent the best interests of all stakeholders, guide discussions, shift thinking, enable stakeholders to express concerns and goals, and propose best path forward.
  • You’ve handled change management effectively by identifying stakeholder needs and translating this understanding into effective and compelling change strategies.
  • You’re proficient with the latest and greatest project management tools, systems, and procedures.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office Products (especially PowerPoint) and past experience with Learning Management System(s) implementation is a plus.
